    Old Isleworth today retains much of the charm of its past when it was a fashionable residential area for wealthy families and it maintains its village-like atmosphere. Green space in the town includes Redlees Park, which has a sensory garden, tennis and sports courts, and a children's playground; Silverhall Park and St John's Gardens. The extensive grounds of Syon Park are less than 10 minutes' drive from these new homes in Isleworth, both the grounds and Syon House, which dates back to the 16th century, are open to visitors, with regular exhibitions and events taking place there.
