The OnTheRecord podcast returns for a second series, as OnTheMarket Chief Executive, Jason Tebb, is joined by John Williams, who has been at the forefront of innovation in professional property photography for over 20 years, to share tips and tricks for agents who want to make their listings stand out for all the right reasons.

The OnTheRecord podcast has returned for a second series, as OnTheMarket Chief Executive, Jason Tebb, is joined by John Williams, one of the pioneers of modern professional photography in estate agency, to share tips and tricks for agents who want to make their listings stand out for all the right reasons.

The overwhelming majority of all property searches are now done online and many estate agencies have recognised this evolution by embracing advances in technology to make the homes on their books stand out. Whilst high-quality photography is more essential than ever, not everyone has upped their game accordingly (as we highlight in the video clip below!).

The season opener sheds some light on the common mistakes that agents are making with their listing photos to help them avoid the common pitfalls and mistakes. John Williams, passionate property photographer since his early 20s, shares his experiences of shooting for some of London’s premier estate agents, before setting up Foxtons’ in-house photography department and moving on to oversee the expansions of Fourwalls’ team of nationwide photographers.

John also talks about the challenge of moving into a sales role for the first time at Fourwalls, as well as shedding light on his hobbies and interests away from work.
