Andrew Regan & Amanda Hallworth opened Regan & Hallworth Estate Agents on Library Street, Wigan in 1996 just across the road from where Andrew had started his estate agency career in 1989. We had both previously worked together for the Abbey National building society which back then had one of the UK’s largest chain of Estate Agents ‘Cornerstone’. We had worked our way up the corporate ladder and been heavily involved with the new estate agency regulations the corporate agent brought into the market.
We simply felt we could do a better job if we worked for ourselves and in September 1996 we launched Regan & Hallworth, within a year we were trading profitably and within three years we had become the towns market-leading agent, a position we maintain today. More people choose locally to sell with our firm than any other local estate agent, a fact we are very proud of. Andrew’s wife Linda after selling her successful Independent financial service company, now looks after the companies Standish branch, this means we have an owner based in each of our three branches Wigan, Standish & Parbold.
We employ 22 local people, some of the most experienced estate agents you will find anywhere; many have been with our firm for a decade or more. We pride ourselves on providing a first-class service, we are a firm with a ‘can do attitude’ and very much a results-driven company.
We have always tried to innovate and be a market leader in terms of advertising, marketing, technology and photography.
We offer in-house mortgage advice, we ‘let’ properties and of course we sell lots of homes.
