It’s functioning well for us as we home-school and work from home with enough desk space for us all to be able to get on with what we need to do. The garden comes alive in summer and autumn with an apple, pear and plum tree all bearing fruit. We also have a veg patch to grow vegetables and an array of flowers.
As a family, we spend most of our time in the kitchen, and that has become a real hub of the home. We both love cooking, and the kitchen design and layout were carefully considered to be as easy to use and functional as possible. It works beautifully, and I will miss that most, I think! It also has a larder, store cupboard and utility area all tucked away.
The community here is lovely, and we have a Facebook group as well as a WhatsApp group. People look out for each other, which is sometimes rare in London and every year the community hosts a summer picnic which is wonderful. We are a stone’s throw from three beautiful parks: Maryon, Maryon Wilson and Charlton Park and at times it does not feel as if we are in London at all. The boys go to Windrush Primary school, rated outstanding and a very loving caring school who have gone above and beyond throughout the pandemic.
We will miss living here....and hope that buyers will care for and love the house as we have.”
