A rare gem situated in the heart of Worsley, this absolutely stunning Grade II listed 15th Century period cottage situated at the end and most private position of the vary much sought after Kempnough Hall Road. This property was purchased by the current owners who have upgraded and renovated this property to the highest standard even winning 'Heritage Project of the year' award in 2013 hosted by the National Federation of builders. The living accommodation comprises: entrance porch with utility room, a very beautiful and spacious lounge with many gorgeous features, a lovely kitchen/breakfast room with skylights, two good sized bedrooms and family bathroom. Externally there is a landscaped and easy to maintain garden with a driveway to give ample parking.

Until the early 20th century, Kempnough Hall formed the nucleus of the Kempnough Hall Estate, a landholding which can be traced back to the 13th century. When purchased by the current owners the property was in a considerable state of disrepair with poorly built extensions, rotting frames and an overgrown garden.

Contemporary features include underfloor heating, alarm system, hardwired smoke alarms. In keeping with the character of the property, most windows have been replaced with Oak framed leaded double glazed ones, unless where stated, where the Grade II listing required the maintaining of two original windows.

Location
Up until the early 20th century, Kempnough Hall formed the seat of Kempnough Hall Estate. The oldest retained timber dates back to circa 1350 and the remains of the original settlement circa 1200’s. The Hall was visited by Queen Victoria in 1851 and to pay homage to this, the roof finial has been carved with a crown to represent a royal visit.
