The kitchen/ dining room is clearly the heart of the house and a great room in which to entertain family and friends and to catch up over coffee in the morning. The sitting room overlooking the garden is welcoming and cosy yet also provides plenty of space for the whole family to kick back in front of a good movie at the weekend. The study is ideal for working from home and the utility room comes in handy for storage, laundry and muddy wellies after a long country walk.
Upstairs comprises the master bedroom with en suite bathroom. There are three further bedrooms, one with en suite shower room, and a family bathroom. All the rooms have been thoughtfully laid out to provide ample storage.
Outside the garden is predominantly laid to lawn, interspersed with herbaceous borders and fabulous fruit trees. The gardens and grounds are a real feature of this home and offer beautiful outdoor spaces for adventure, entertaining and the garden enthusiast. The treehouse is the perfect hideaway for younger children and there is a generous above ground pond with water feature to the rear of the house. The work shop provides further storage for outdoor equipment.
The driveway offers plenty of private parking.
Set in circa 3 acres of land.
Vendors' thoughts: "We have loved living at Cherry Tree House, and it will always have a very special place in our hearts. It is a wonderfully light and spacious house, which has been perfect for entertaining friends and family, whilst bringing up our children: warm and cosy in the winter, light and airy in the summer. I love to throw open all the doors and windows on a sunny day and invite the outside in. The outdoor space was the deciding factor in choosing this house to become our family home. Our children have grown up making dens in the wood, with a backdrop of resident Tawny owls and green woodpeckers, and we have enjoyed many campouts in the garden. Living here has given us the best of both worlds, the house and gardens are wonderfully private, but we are a stone’s throw away from Fairford, where we have been part of a friendly and active community for the past 24 years. We will be very sad to leave but will cherish many happy memories."
In a nutshell: Generous proportions, superb outdoor space and close to local amenities!
Council Tax Band G and EPC E.
Tenure: Freehold.
Services: Mains electricity and water. Oil-fired central heating. Private drainage.
