The land extending to approximately 25 acres is allocated in the North Ayrshire Local Plan for residential development with an indicative capacity for 170 houses - RES2(8).
The site is included in the Schedule of Long-Term Housing Sites Anticipated to Become Active 2024-2029 (with an indicative capacity for 170 houses ref: NA1121) of the proposed North Ayrshire
Local Development Plan due for adoption in 2019.
The existing farmhouse and steading buildings are noted to be category “C” listed and have been subject to an approved planning consent for the conversion and alterations to form 8 dwelling
houses under planning reference, 08/00606/PP which was granted in August 2008, and has now expired.
