Features and description

"We moved to Newbridge Road a few months before the pandemic hit and spent the following two years confined to our house, building a home, growing a family and watching countless sunsets over the city from our garden. Since then our home has remained our safe space, a hub for family gatherings, kids birthday parties, drinks with the neighbours or just a cosy spot for hunkering down in front of the fire with a glass of wine. St. Anne’s was a relatively unknown neighbourhood to us but has become a community that we centre so many of our weekends around. Parties and live music at the pub, the sauna at St. Anne’s House, Blind Owl Coffee, the woods, the valley, art trails and all the wonderful people that come with it. "

Newbridge Road is in the heart of St Annes, a popular area with green open spaces, woodland walks and access to the river - all within a stones’ throw of the city. It is ideally situated a short walk from Sandy Park high street as well as Church Road in St George, with amenities including Sandy Park Deli, Greengrocers, bakeries, cafes and many other shops and restaurants. It has the wonderful Nightingale Valley, St Annes woods, and St Annes park right across the road, perfect for walks. One of Bristol’s top breweries and taprooms, Lost and Grounded, is located at the bottom of the road, while the excellent local, the Langton, is just around the corner. The area benefits from easy access to the river, whether walking to Eastwood Farm and Beeses, towards Keynsham via riverside pubs, or for those looking for more active pastimes like rowing or river swimming. Newbridge Road is a perfect home for those seeking a little more green space, but with easy access to the city - a regular, direct bus will get you to Old Market in a few minutes, and will take you into the centre and Clifton. It’s also an ideal spot for commuters - whether walking or cycling towards Temple Meads, or using easy road access to Wells Road or Bath Road, or to the M32 in a few minutes. The popular St Anne’s Primary School is also close by, as well as local doctor’s surgery, gym and even Padel courts. Finally, St Annes is regularly on the path of Bristol’s balloons, providing a classic Bristol sight throughout the year, culminating in the Balloon Fiesta’s mass launches often flying directly overhead.

A beautifully styled two bedroom terraced house with the added benefit of a useful loft room and a great sized garden. Downstairs there is an open plan living room/dining room with bay window and period fireplace/log burner. To the rear is a galley kitchen which leads to a utility room and then onto the garden. Upstairs are two double bedrooms and a family bathroom on the first floor and the loft has been converted into a room which can be a useful extra bedroom or office although isn’t done to building regs. The large rear garden has both a lawn and decked area for al fresco dining and a great garden shed.
