Property description & features

"Narroways was our first home following our move from the United States. We couldn't have landed in a better spot, surrounded by green space (Stoke Park, City Farm, Boiling Wells Woodland...), an incredibly kind and caring community, good schools, and Namak Indian on Mina Road nearby, the best! We truly felt welcomed from the day we moved in. Local craftspeople and builders have helped us shape our home, from upcycled wooden floors via the old Chocolate Factory, to solid walnut shelves fashioned from a table we brought over from the States. As we're in a cul-de-sac at the top of the street, it's super quiet, there's always parking, and we often leave the front door open for a neighbourly chat. A work opportunity means it's now time to leave Bristol, we'll miss the street and the community very much indeed."

Narroways Road is located on the peripheral of St Werburghs, an area of inner-city Bristol in high demand due to the strong community feel and beautifully designed homes. Sitting within touching distance of the Narroways Nature Reserve, the road offers plenty of green space, within an exciting area, consisting of families and professional couples. St Werburghs is home to a number of popular cafes, shops and attractions including The Better Food Company shop, Napolita Café, Wiper & True Brewery, as well as the Undercover Rock-climbing centre in St Werburghs Church. Bloc climbing gym, the largest bouldering centre in Bristol is just around the corner. The area's popularity derives in a large part from its sense of community, but also from its close proximity to Bristol City Centre, Greenbank and Cheltenham Road. The nearby M32 makes the area ideal for commuters, providing easy access to Bristol Parkway and in turn to the M4. St Werburgh's Primary School is very central to the area and has a good reputation, enhancing the pull of the area to families. St Werburgh's Nursery School is also close by and is rated 'good' by Ofsted. The St Werburghs's City Farm and Café are well known throughout the city and combined with the local allotments are a good example of the area's individuality and independence from surrounding suburbs.

A superb example of a period home in a prime BS2 location, on the desirable Narroways Road. The home displays tasteful but minimal style, which has created an incredibly bright and welcoming interior to suit both first time purchasers and a growing/established family. Entrance is into the hallway, with the stairs ascending to the first floor on your left. The first reception room is on your initial right, currently utilised as a family room and home office. Well polish wooden floorboards run underfoot and the alcove storage contrasts well with the neutral décor. Moving through the ground floor, you reach the focal point of the home, the kitchen/dining area. Mirroring the style to the front reception room, boasting an equal balance of light and style. The kitchen is contemporary, and the opening to the dining area provides a great space to socialise and suit everyday family living. A patio door provides access to the rear garden, a bona-fide suntrap in a private setting, barely overlooked by neighbouring homes.

Moving to the first floor, the well balanced and bright interior continues, with the primary bedroom sitting at the back of the property, enjoying the extensive and calming green views. Adjacent is the smart three piece bathroom suite. At the front of the home, are two further bedrooms, one offering plenty of space for a double bed, with the third acting as a large single room. The final benefit of the property is the attic room, accessed via a drop down ladder, but full boarded throughout. Incredible and expansive views are also offered from the velux window, meaning the space provides bags of potential.
