Description
B Listed Lomond Castle is constructed of blond sandstone under a slate roof and was originally built around 1860 as a country residence. The building was later completely refurbished, upgraded and extended to form a small number of exclusive apartments and two storey residences.
Entering the building via the grand reception hall, the apartment offered for sale occupies the ground floor position and enjoys beautiful views across the Loch.
This impressive property is bright and welcoming with high ceilings and beautiful finishes. The main open plan reception room has plenty of space to relax and entertain with a dining area to the rear. Glazed doors open out to the loch, and there is also a bay window to the side. The kitchen area is designed in a U shape and fitted with white gloss floor and wall units with breakfast bar, integrated appliances including a wine fridge, and plenty of worktop space.
The principal bedroom has built in storage and a spacious contemporary en suite shower room. A further double bedroom and luxurious bathroom complete the accommodation.
Externally, twin wrought iron security gates allow access to the main driveway leading to the parking area beside the main house. The beautiful shared garden and grounds of Lomond Castle extend up to the edge of the loch. Further benefits include double glazed window units, secure entry system, factored building and shared communal grounds.
Location
Lomond Castle is on the southwest bank of Loch Lomond within Scotland’s first national park: Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Some of Britain’s most spectacular scenery is around the Loch Lomond area. The loch is crossed by the Highland boundary fault and the physical characteristics of lowland and highland Scotland can be seen within a few miles of each other.
For sporting enthusiasts opportunities abound. The loch is well known for its water sports including windsurfing, sailing and excellent water skiing and wake boarding. In addition, there is superb climbing and hill walking in the area. The Arrochar Alps include four Munros (mountains over 3000ft) and six Corbetts, the best known is The Cobbler.
Fronting the loch is the Cameron House Hotel. The Loch Lomond Golf Club boasts an international membership and is a past host of the Scottish Open Golf Championship. The Carrick golf course is also nearby. Helensburgh is the nearest town and has excellent restaurants, bars and supermarkets. Hermitage Academy is the local secondary school, with Lomond School providing private schooling at primary and secondary levels.
Helensburgh Station has regular trains with a journey time to Glasgow of around 45 minutes. Central Glasgow (28 miles) can be accessed by car under normal driving conditions in less than an hour, and Glasgow Airport, providing regular domestic and international flights, within 40 minutes.

Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on April 1, 2022
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on April 1, 2022
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
