Tennyson Walk is a lovely neighbourhood and this bungalow would be perfect for those looking to move to a friendly and convenient area.

The bungalow benefits from high ceilings which give a light and airy feel. If you fancy the idea of a large, one-level, spacious bungalow in a popular area, why not consider this property? In our opinion, it is perfect for those wishing to have a cosy home with an abundance of local amenities within walking distance. What’s not to love?

On entry along the hallway from the entrance door, you will find a large reception room that leads to a patio door, giving access to the sunny south-facing conservatory.

The property comes with a large airing cupboard which is perfect for some extra storage.

This spacious residence boasts three double bedrooms (two with built-in wardrobes), providing ample space for a growing family or those who enjoy having extra room for guests. The bungalow offers flexibility in room designation and would easily lend itself to having a recreational playroom, music room or a studio, the choice is endless.

There is a family bathroom with sink, bath, w/c and electric shower.
The generous-sized kitchen/dining room is equipped with a Neff double electric oven, 4-ring electric hob, extractor fan, under cupboard lighting, stainless steel sink, plenty of counter space and storage cupboards, which are dated, but serviceable. It has a fridge, tumble dryer and a washing machine. There is also a handy serving hatch from the kitchen directly into the reception room.

There is a great-sized loft, perfect for those wishing to add an extra level to the house STPP (as other neighbours in the road have done).

Outdoors

The outdoors can be accessed from both gates at each side of the property and also through the doors in bedroom 2, the kitchen or the conservatory.

There is a front garden which is laid to lawn with lavender and mixed flower and shrub planting and an off-road driveway for 2 cars.

The French doors from the conservatory lead to the private raised patio sun area with seating. Steps lead down to the lawn which is laid to lawn with pretty wrought iron fencing with integral planters, complete with Spring flowers. There is a pergola area, ideal for those all-important BBQs and to catch the south-facing sun rays, beautifully balancing aesthetics with ease of maintenance. Carefully selected mature trees and flower planting create a charming outdoor space, perfect for relaxation and al fresco dining.

Embrace the convenience of a dedicated large single garage and extra driveway parking that can be accessed from the rear by double wooden gates.

Some words from the current owners

“Tennyson Walk has been our family, forever home for over 40 years so it definitely feels like home and it has been a joy and privilege to live here so long. Our neighbours over the years have become friends, giving us a warm sense of community spirit you may not find so prevalently elsewhere. We all look out for each other, with a friendly wave and chat and therefore crime in this area is extremely low.

We have loved that as we got older in years, the style of the house still suited us as it is a bungalow, with manageable front and rear gardens, ample height ceiling, with generous room sizes and light and airy rooms.

There is a fantastic choice of good primary and secondary schools within walking, short cycle or drive away, which is ideal for those with school-aged children to consider.

A commuter coach service can be walked to in 5 minutes, for those having to travel into London, a leisurely way to get into Canary Wharf within an hour. Ebbsfleet International is close by and takes you into Stratford within 12 minutes and St Pancreas within 18 minutes, so location-wise, the options are endless. In 19 minutes you can be at Ashford International from Ebbsfleet, ideal for some retail therapy at Ashford Outlet Centre!

We installed a new Worcester Greenstar boiler in 2020. We also had a conservatory put on which is perfect whilst enjoying the South facing garden. For Summer BBQs we had a raised patio for entertaining added.

Having local shops in walking distance (Co-Op and Morrisons Daily), Post Office, Florist and takeaways and a Sainsbury’s supermarket within walking distance is a big plus of living here, especially with Bluewater a short drive away too.

For active sportspersons, we have Cygnet leisure centre within walking distance as well as Wombwell Park, where we used to play tennis and is a great area for family time.

We have been proud to live here and be part of the tight-knit community and we whole-heartedly hope that the next owners will be as happy here, as we have been for many, many years.”
