What the owner loves:

By far the best thing about the flat, and what originally attracted me to this property, is the uniqueness of the building. After being shown around numerous generic grey boxes, walking into St Stephens I knew I would be really happy to come home every day. Being a converted church, the flat has some beautiful original features including the stained glass window which, as it is west facing, catches the sunset rays. The living area is open plan, but having the mezzanine allowed my partner and I to have our own separate spaces when we were both working from home. Being the on the top floor, we are the highest building for a little way so we get some great views of the surrounding areas, including Wembley Arena. We have also become repeat New Years Eve hosts as the flat is a great entertaining space, and the views of the fireworks at midnight are quite spectacular.

The other residents in the building are quiet and friendly, and the management company looking after the building are also super responsive with any issues taken care of very quickly. We also have access to the communal gardens which are well looked after and are particularly beautiful in spring when the daffodils and the blossom trees are out.

The flat is an easy walk from both West Ealing and Ealing Broadway stations and with the Elizabeth Line you can be in central London in 20 minutes. The flat is also very close to the local amenities of both West Ealing (Waitrose, Sainsburys, Lidl) and Pitzhanger where you can find independent shops, including a bakery and book shop. Most amenities, including doctors, dentist and pubs with excellent beer gardens, are less than a 10 minute walk away. The open space of Pitzhanger Park is also on your doorstep with access to tennis courts, football pitches and a playground. Ealing Broadway with it’s high street shops, restaurants and now two cinemas is only a 20 minute walk or 5 minutes on the bus.

We have loved living in our church and will be very sad to leave but it is time for someone else to make new memories here.

What the agents say:

Buyers Looking For A Unique Apartment Will Flock To This Gothic-Style Church. With panoramic views, a versatile mezzanine and gorgeous architectural features, no other period conversion will hold a candle to this stylish top floor apartment.

St Stephen’s Church has had quite a history, dating back to the late 1870’s and giving name to the conservation area covering the nearby sought-after streets.

It’s in a fabulous location, occupying a prominent island site at the head of The Avenue – a broad, straight road, lined with mature trees, which leads down the hill to West Ealing station, now equipped with the super-speed Elizabeth Line.

It was deconsecrated in 1979 and converted into 22 high quality apartments in the mid-1980’s.

Now you have a unique opportunity to become the owner of what could possibly be the best apartment in the whole St. Stephen's Court development.

It’s on the top floor, which not only gives you superb panoramic views over West London (you can even see the Wembley arch on a clear day!) but it retains many of the church’s original architectural features, including a gorgeous stained glass window, timber and stone work.

The superb lounge has incredibly high vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and a beautiful stained glass window on the west wall. It’s open plan, with the modern fitted kitchen located in the corner of the room so there’s no need to miss out on the conversation if you’re preparing a meal or a round of drinks. It has two good size double bedrooms and a stylish, modern bathroom.

There’s a mezzanine level which looks down on the lounge below. It’s currently being used as a home office - you can’t possibly get a more inspiring place to work from home. But it could also double up as a 3rd bedroom - just as long as you’re not a light sleeper.

It’s only a 10 minute stroll down The Avenue to West Ealing station. After grabbing a latte at Café Leemoo you can hop onto a new Elizabeth Line train which will get you in and out of town in no time at all!

You’re only a short walk from the big name retailers and restaurants in Ealing Broadway, and if you prefer your shops and cafes to be smaller and locally owned, the award-winning Pitshanger Lane is only a 10 minute walk away.

Keep walking for another couple of minutes and you’ll reach Pitshanger Park - perfect for a run or a picnic. And to give you choice, Cleveland Park is just around the corner!

The location is so convenient you may not need a car, but if you do have one, there’s allocated parking in what used to be the church car park.

There are plenty of two bedroom apartments in West London but none will compare to this architecturally unique Grade II listed conversion.

We’re expecting plenty of interest from enlightened buyers, so get in touch today to arrange a viewing.

Note that most of our Sellers offer a Reservation Agreement to guarantee their commitment and offer buyers greater security of transaction. Feel free to ask us for further information.

Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:

Clear: No bars, no signal predicted

Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services

Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on March 18, 2015 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
