4 bedroom terraced house to rent
Key information
Property description & features
If you've got a larger family you may absolutely need four bedrooms rather than three. But if you've got a larger family you're probably juggling work and running around after the kids' hectic social and sporting commitments.
So do you really want to spend all your time cleaning a substantial semi or a dirty great big detached?
Sometimes the biggest isn't always the best.
This three storey townhouse isn't small by any means. It's over 1,100ft2 (108m2) if that means anything to you. But the ground floor rooms and the garden are definitely more "Manageable" than "Massive".
There's a lounge with French doors to the low maintenance patio garden. It's not huge but when you've got a large shared area of grass in front of the property it doesn't need to be.
The kitchen looks out over the shared green space. It's modern with fitted units and an integrated oven and hob.
The first floor has a large master bedroom with an ensuite shower room, the smallest of the four bedrooms and the family bathroom.
The top floor has two more decent sized double bedrooms.
It's practical too, with a downstairs w/c and a separate single garage (it's in a separate block, accessed via the back gate).
Families love the estate, it's got plenty of green space and a choice of play parks for younger children to let off steam.
There's a good choice of primary schools all within a short drive, the "Outstanding" St Rumon's Infant school is closest - less than a 5 minute drive away.
It takes less than 20 minutes to walk into town and being all downhill on the way back it should take you half the time!
There's plenty going on in Tavistock, with lots of places to eat and drink. There's a great selection of shops and the historic Pannier Market too.
If you're looking for a bigger selection of shops and restaurants you can drive to Plymouth in around 30 minutes if you time it right, it may take significantly longer if you're driving in at peak times.
Tavistock is also a great base from which you can explore Dartmoor, being right on the edge of the National Park.
If you're a busy modern family this modern four bedroom family home could be perfect - just as long as you can see the sense in taking on something that's a manageable size.

OnTheMarket may have applied supplementary data to this property listing, including:
Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on May 24, 2022
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on May 24, 2022
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on March 9, 2016 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
