It is a 8.4kW MCS-certified solar system consisting of (1) 20 state-of-the-art Maxeon 6 AC solar panels manufactured by the Silicon Valley solar company Sunpower, each panel comes with their own Enphase 7 inverters such that even one of the panels is shaded, the others will continue to function as normal; (2) a 13.5 kWh Tesla Powerwall 2. The panels also come with a industry-leading 40-year warranty from Sunpower that it will retain AT LEAST 92% efficiency at the end of 25 years, and 88.25% at the end of 40 years - meaning no more than 0.25% drop in efficiency every year. The conservative estimate is that it will generate at least 6,240 kWh of electricity every year on average (the usage of a 4-person average household in the UK is 2,700 kWh). The system was only installed in July 2023 - it cost £26,000 without VAT at the time. The system also obtained DNO G99 approval from the National Grid that enables it to export more than what the lower level G98 approval
