Charming family home in a village location with planning permission to build a new modernist home.

Description

The Lindens, located in the heart of Taplow, offers a picturesque setting with modern amenities and potential for redevelopment. With planning permission (reference: PL/21/3766/FA Validated: Mon 27 Sep 2021).

Its proximity to Taplow Railway Station (Crossrail) , village amenities, and reputable schools makes it an attractive option for commuters and families alike.

This is a beautifully presented single storey family home of much character and charm, offering bright and well planned living space, in a delightful village location.

There is an open plan kitchen/dining room with doors leading onto the rear terrace and garden. Door to utility with shower room and access to the side of the property. Spacious bright living room with large windows overlooking the front garden.

The bedrooms are located predominantly in the east wing of the house to benefit from morning sun. The fourth bedroom functions predominately as an office/study and is located at the west end of the building. The main bedroom is spacious with an en suite shower room and has double doors onto the garden. There is also a family bathroom.

The house is set within well stocked, landscaped gardens with an orchard, accessed via electric gates, and benefits from ample parking for several cars. There is a verandah to the front of the house whilst to the rear, there is a large terrace providing excellent ‘al fresco’ dining/relaxation space.

Location

The Lindens is situated in the heart of Taplow, a picturesque village which has a village green, a church, a public house and a highly respected church school. The historic Cliveden House and National Trust gardens, offering woodland walks and recreation, are a few minutes away.

A Sainsbury’s supermarket is located nearby on the A4 Bath Road, whilst further extensive shopping and leisure amenities may be found in Maidenhead, Windsor and Beaconsfield, all of which may be easily accessed.

Rail communications are good with services to London (Paddington) available from Taplow or from Maidenhead. Crossrail, the new high-speed rail service is due to start running around 2018.

Junction 7 of the M4 is approximately 2 miles distant and this provides access to Heathrow, Central London, the West Country and the M25, which in turn links with the M3; the M40 may be reached via the A404.

Leisure amenities are varied with golf at Taplow, Maidenhead and Marlow; horse racing at Windsor and Ascot; horse riding and polo in Windsor Great Park; the Magnet Leisure Centre in Maidenhead; and boating on some stretches of the River Thames.

Directions

Take Junction 7 off the M4 (Slough West), proceed to the roundabout and turn left onto the A4 towards Maidenhead. Continue along this road (Bath Road) for about half a mile to a roundabout where you will take the 3rd exit into Lent Rise Road. Take the first left into Taplow Road (becoming Boundary Road) and after just over half a mile, Rectory Road will be found on the left hand side: The Lindens is the first house on the right.

Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:

Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services

Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on March 6, 2023 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
