For Sale by online Auction, bidding opens Thursday 25th April at 10:00am. Pilot Wood, Arundel is almost six acres. The woodland benefits from been level and having vehicular access. There is a small seasonal pond found in the north-east corner of the wood.
A perfect woodland been level with coppiced hazel and sweet chestnut together with some mature oaks and occasional Scots pine, silver birch, field maple, beech and holly. A plentiful supply of bluebells, foxgloves and heathers bring bursts of colour in late spring and there are areas and moss on the forest floor. A small seasonal pond is found in the north-east corner of the wood which could be enlarged to make a more permanent feature. There are a couple of natural clearings within the wood which let in light and sunshine providing an inviting habitat for insects and butterflies. Just inside the locked entrance gate, near the road, there is a generous timber stacking area with other owners, with a good stoned track, leading to the start of Pilot Wood.
We have been informed by the vendor that the old caravan will remain in the woods, however a number of personal items will be taken including the composting toilet.
The woods in recent years have been used for personal camping trips and forestry activities.
