We adore this immaculate family home and garden, which is perfectly located for lovers of the great outdoors. The High Peak Trail is just across the road and there are walking and cycling routes in all directions. The home has been lovingly upgraded by the current owners to a very high standard and comes with a neat garden with pond, double garage, substantial workshop and driveway with parking for 5-7 vehicles.

The ground floor has been extended and now includes a large sun room in addition to the kitchen, lounge and dining room. Stairs lead up to the first floor where there are three spacious bedrooms and a modern family bathroom.

Outside, we love the garden with it's neat lawn and pond. A long, wide driveway curves around the house to the double garage. The garden area also includes a substantial purpose-built workshop-shed, a large log store and a decorative wishing well stands proudly over a historic lead mine entrance.

The home is located opposite the National Stone Centre with easy access onto the High Peak Trail. The town of Wirksworth, the World Heritage Site of Cromford village and Middleton are all within one mile. Carsington Water and the delights of the Peak District are also only a very short drive away.

*New EPC pending*

Front Of The Home - Enter the grounds of the White House through double oak gates onto an L-shaped gravel driveway, which has room aplenty for at least 5-7 vehicles. A wishing well on the left is positioned over the entrance to a former lead mine entrance and has a safety grill, with lighting inside. The home is of stone construction with white render and a tiled roof. Enter the home through a half-glazed uPVC door into the Sun Room.

Sun Room - 5.9 x 2.75 (19'4" x 9'0") - With a solid roof and glazing to three sides, this light and airy room has plenty of space for dining, seating and storage/display. Being positioned between the kitchen and garden, it's a great place for friends and family to gather on a sunny day. It has a ceramic tiled floor and substantial large new fitted floor-to-ceiling storage cupboard. The room has a ceiling light fitting, wide window sills (useful for placing drinks!), a radiator and an exposed stone wall, which was previously the exterior of the home. Step through a half-glazed composite former front door into the kitchen.

Kitchen - 4.25 x 2.67 (13'11" x 8'9") - The large country-style kitchen is U-shaped and has lots of high and low level cabinets. On the left is an integrated Neff oven and four-ring gas hob, with extractor fan above. There is space and plumbing below the worktop for a dishwasher and washing machine. Beneath the wide west-facing window which looks out over the garden is a modern Belfast sink with chrome mixer tap...that lovely view almost makes you want to do the dishes!

There is lots of worktop space and power points, providing plenty of room for food preparation and small appliances on the worktop. As you enter the room from the Sun Room, on the right are several floor-to-ceiling cupboards with space for a full-height fridge-freezer. The kitchen has two ceiling light fittings and a modern radiator plus doors to the Dining Room and Lounge.

Dining Room - 3.95 x 2.6 (12'11" x 8'6") - The cosy dining room offers a more intimate place to dine than the Sun Room, but you might therefore choose to set up one of the rooms as a home office or for alternative use that works for you. The room has pine-effect vinyl flooring and has space for an 8-seater dining table and chairs, together with additional furniture too. There is a west-facing window meaning the room gets plenty of light in the afternoon into evening. There is a dado rail and skirting boards and a pretty decorative ceiling rose. The room also includes a radiator, ceiling light fitting and coving.

Lounge - 7.5 x 3.35 (24'7" x 10'11") - The distinctive eye-catching chimney breast is the central feature of this very spacious room and forms a gentle partition, to offer two well-proportioned comfortable halves of the room. Within the chimney sits a high quality steel Dunsley wood burner and flue. The lounge is carpeted and has windows facing south and west on the right-hand side of the room. Here, there is a wide radiator, ceiling beams, dado rail and immaculate decor (as there is throughout the home). A quirk of the home is that the angled wall is a remnant of it's origins as a toll booth, when all booths at that time had to have five outer walls.

To the left of the chimney are windows facing south and east - one with a deep sill that would make a perfect window seat. There is a radiator, cute under-stairs cupboard and open staircase up to the first floor.

Stairs To First Floor Landing - The timber staircase has carpeted stairs which turn 90-degrees left at the fourth step and there is a handrail on the right and wall light. We really like the unusually-shaped landing, which opens to the right and then widens, with doors to the three bedrooms and family bathroom. The landing includes lots of storage including a double-height fitted double cupboard which houses the Ideal boiler, together with another full-height cupboard with shelving.

Bedroom One - 3.75 x 2.45 (12'3" x 8'0") - With windows facing to the south and east and light oak-effect flooring, this is a lovely light room. In the corner is a deep over-stairs cupboard with shelving and the room also includes an alcove with fitted shelving. Overhead is an oak beam and this spacious single bedroom has skirting boards, a radiator and ceiling light fitting. Several bedrooms including this one have a loft hatch - the loft is well-insulated and offers a small amount of storage space...but the landing and bedrooms all have ample storage at this level.

Bedroom Two - 3.73m x 3.40m (12'3" x 11'2") - Continuing the theme, full-width and full-height fitted pine wardrobes with iron latches run the length of the left-hand wall in this roomy double bedroom. South- and west-facing windows bring lots of natural light in...but being west-facing then light sleepers will love this room! This spacious double room is carpeted and has a radiator, two ceiling beams, a ceiling light fitting and skirting boards.

Bedroom Three - 3.85 x 2.65 (12'7" x 8'8") - The very wide west-facing window means this double bedroom is bathed in natural light too. The modern full-height wardrobes run along one wall. This room also has new carpets, like the rest of the home. There is a radiator, skirting boards and ceiling light fitting.

Bathroom - 2.9 x 2.62 (9'6" x 8'7") - The bathroom is very spacious and sleek, with a modern contemporary feel. The bath has chrome mixer taps, a Triton electric shower above and pivoting glass shower screen. The ceramic pedestal sink has a chrome mixer tap and there is a ceramic WC with integrated flush. The wall behind the bath and sink has stylish ceramic tiles from floor to ceiling and all other walls are painted.

The bathroom also includes a chrome vertical heated towel rail, radiator, ceiling light fitting, a wide frosted double-glazed window and lots of space for free-standing furniture.

Garden - Sweeping around the house on the gravel driveway, you enter the impressive, neat and private garden. The lawn is well cared-for and will be easy to maintain, as are the purpose-built pond and surrounding rockery. The garden is bounded by a dry stone wall and modern timber fencing. This south-facing garden has great views to the west towards Middleton Moor and some raised seating areas - meaning you can chase, or avoid, the sun as you wish throughout the day. The garden also includes a large log store, outside tap, lights and power points.

Detached Garage - 7 x 5 (22'11" x 16'4") - The purpose-built garage has storage for a vehicle whilst still having usable space for storage including a range of cabinets and worktops currently in-situ. There is additional storage above the roof trusses and the garage has lighting and power.

Workshop-Shed - 8.6 x 3.35 (28'2" x 10'11") - The substantial workshop has a concrete floor and has plenty of room for some of the space to be a utility area. There are windows, power points and lighting.
