Both airflows will pass through a heat exchanger where heat is transferred from the extracted air to the fresh filtered air.

This helps to improve indoor air quality by removing pollutants, allergens, and other harmful particles that can lead to health problems. Energy efficiency: MVHR systems recover heat from the stale air being extracted and transfer it to the incoming fresh air.

The modern system used the same amount of electricity as a flat screen TV also enhancing the energy efficiency.
