Views to enjoy and remember

Tronoh House is an attractive landmark detached period home perched on the hill overlooking the village common with uninterrupted views across open fields and farmland to the Blackwater estuary and Mersea Island beyond. A home that stands out proud with its almost symmetric white façade and feature window shutters, giving a hint of its original heritage.

Having only had two owners in the last 50 years both families enjoyed a relaxed village life with a friendly community, and woke up daily to the wonderful views across to Mersea Island. Historic records seem to indicate that the house predates 1900, so Victorian heritage, believing it was possibly formerly known as Honor Villa. Whether it was renamed or a replacement dwelling built is not known.

This home has four bedrooms, principle with en-suite shower, family bathroom, snug, lounge, a modern stylish kitchen/diner with separate utility and downstairs cloakroom. Externally there is a gravel driveway providing off street parking for multiple vehicles, double garage and apple store/workshop, approximately in grounds of one-third of an acre acre plot.

The garden wraps round the property on three sides and has various ‘sun spots’ and areas to catch the shade. A variety of plants, flowers, trees and shrubs. The top area is perfect for a kitchen garden and keeping chickens, ducks or even a few goats.

Over the last 6 years the current vendors have lovely updated their home ensuring it has maintained the original charm and character. They have created and installed a spacious modern kitchen/diner, that is conducive with today’s living style and is the hub of the home, replaced the majority of the windows, repaired and restored many of the original features, created some enjoyable and useful patio areas, landscaped the gardens, created a more useful and solid driveway and completely redecorated throughout.

From a house that had somewhat lost its way to a beautiful light, airy, spacious family home.
