Queens Court is a delightful and popular development that has been built around the old Queens Hotel. Located on the shore of the Firth of Clyde, the development offers attractive gardens with sweeping lawns down to the waterfront, private parking for residents and visitors and with number 6 enjoying its own single car lock up garage adjacent to the property.
Situated within the original part of the hotel, the flat features high ceilings, spacious rooms and some of the best views in the development, straight across the waters of the Firth of Clyde. On entering the building from the front, a security entry system opens in to a welcoming communal reception hall where a staircase ascends to the first floor landing where the flat is located. On entering the flat, a large and welcoming hallway gives access to each of the rooms and has built-in storage. Immediately on entering the lounge/dining room you are struck with fantastic water views and with an additional window to the side of this room looking down the shoreline towards the town centre. This is an exceptional public space which is large enough to accommodate a comfortable lounge area as well as a sizeable dining table and chairs. From the dining room, a door leads through into a well proportioned kitchen that comes with wall mounted and counter level units , a cooker, washing machine, fridge and freezer. Moving from the main part of the reception hall down a passageway, there is a separate wc compartment at the far end along with a sizeable bathroom which has a bath (shower above), wc and wash hand basin. The bedroom is located to the front of the flat and again enjoys the magnificent views across the water and being south facing, enjoys all day long sunshine. It is a spacious double room and has built-in wardrobes along the length of one wall at the rear. The flat is warmed by a system of gas fired central heating and all the windows are replacement timber framed double glazed sealed units.
Located right on the shore, there are lovely walks along the promenade in to the town centre of Helensburgh where a wide selection of amenities can be found. Helensburgh has great shops and supermarkets, bars, restaurants and cafes along with numerous delicatessens, banks and a post office. Helensburgh Central train station is found near the town centre and provides services to Glasgow and Edinburgh and Helensburgh Upper station (which is slightly further away) provides a service up the West Highland Line and a sleeper service to London. Helensburgh provides great leisure facilities in and around the town, with numerous sports clubs along with the new leisure complex on the pier which has a swimming pool and gym facilities. Helensburgh is perfectly placed for access to some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery which is only a short drive away in each direction. Loch Lomond is within ten to fifteen minutes’ drive and Glasgow is within easy commuting distance via the A82. Glasgow International airport can also be easily reached across the Erskine Bridge. Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on January 20, 2022
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on February 25, 2022
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
Energy Performance data and Internal floor area
