This stunning four bedroom home feels like it is set deep in the heart of the countryside, a million miles from the madding crowd, yet is less than 4 miles from the shops, restaurants, cafes and mainline station of Berkhamsted.

On the outskirts of the rural seclusion of Hawridge, and with a bespoke office at the bottom of the garden, it is the ideal setting to work from home.

This garden room/home office - complete with a fabulous 'living roof' - is just one of several impressive features the owners have added to the property since they bought off-plan two years ago.

They also installed the show-stopping bespoke kitchen, complete with large central island, designed and built by Red Kite of Beaconsfield. With Quartz worktops, Neff appliances and a large, built-in pantry it forms the hub of this wonderfully contemporary home and offers the style of living today's buyers demand.

The three bathrooms were other quality installations by the owners, plus they added quality Karndean flooring to the hall, kitchen, main bedroom and family bathroom. Thus taking the property from the off-plan shell it was to a completely unique property; a light, modern, energy-efficient home with an NHBC warranty, in a sought-after village setting.

The three large double bedrooms and generous single bedroom are arranged over the two upper floors. Two of the bedrooms have en suites, while the smart family bathroom serves the remaining bedrooms.

Outside to the rear, there is a large patio where you can sit and take in the wonderful, far-reaching views and spot a few wild deer and perhaps even a red kite or two.

To the front, there is allocated parking for three cars, but the icing on the cake is the incredible energy efficiency of the house, thanks to the specification of the build, including its state-of-the-art air source heat pump.

If you long to get away from it all, whilst still being near it all, this beautiful home and its idyllic location is the perfect option.

Location
Hawridge is one of four neighbouring Chiltern villages in Buckinghamshire on the border with Hertfordshire about 4 miles from Tring and 6 miles from Berkhamsted.

The village offers a wide range of recreational facilities with the nearby common offering lovely country walks and bridleways as well as the cricket club and local pub. There are a number of surrounding towns all providing multiple shopping facilities and amenities.

Communication links are excellent, with the A41 providing a dual carriageway link direct to the M25 (J20). There are mainline train stations in Tring (regular and direct service to London Euston in approx. 35 mins), Wendover and Stoke Mandeville (both with regular and direct service to London Marylebone in around 50 and 55 mins respectively).

The area boasts some excellent educational facilities, including the local village school (approximately 200 metres from the property), and nearby Tring School. For those wishing to use the independent sector, Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, Berkhamsted School, and Chesham Preparatory School all have superb reputations.

Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on May 25, 2023

Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:

    Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
    Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
    Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s

The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2

Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on May 25, 2023

Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:

Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services

Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on August 25, 2021 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.

Any supplementary data should not be relied upon as forming part of any property particulars and OnTheMarket cannot be held responsible for any incorrectness in this data. See here for more information.
