Description

The house was built by the highly regarded and award winning Chase Homes in 2003 to a well worked design and a particularly high standard. Since then the house has been considerably improved and the present owners have made a number of enhancements, including adding an impressive oak framed garden room off the kitchen. This now forms the hub of the house and a room to enjoy the garden and view.

The downstairs accommodation is arranged to provide three reception rooms, study and a cloakroom. The drawing room is an impressive entertaining room with a splendid fireplace and French doors leading out onto the garden terrace. The dining room currently used as a second study also looks out over the principal garden as does the family sitting room which links with the breakfast kitchen, a perfect family arrangement.

The kitchen is a much admired room with its vaulted ceiling, exposed timbers and excellent range of fittings together with an island unit with prep sink and wine fridge. Adjacent to the kitchen is the splendid garden room which enjoys the garden and farmland vista. Off the hall is the professionally fitted study.

A modern oak and glass staircase takes you to the bedrooms arranged around a central landing with all having an ensuite shower room and a range of fitted cupboards. The principal bedroom is particularly spacious and possesses a good range of wardrobes and a luxury ensuite bathroom with separate double shower and connected via a dressing area.

Central heating is by way of an oil fired boiler (replaced in January 2023) which is complemented by sealed unit double glazing.

Outside, the property is approached through timber gates and adjacent to the integral double garage there is additional gravelled parking. To the rear of the garage there is a herb/vegetable garden together with a large timber garden shed surrounded by maturing yew hedge.

The landscaped garden (c.2/3 of an acre) is divided into three distinct areas. Close to the house is a formal garden area with parterre box hedging enclosing a number of flowerbeds, a perfect relaxation area on summer days. An outside kitchen for housing a pizza oven and BBQ plus landscaped hot tub area provides splendid areas for entertaining.

Beyond the dry Cotswold stone walling is a less formal area laid to lawn, interspersed with maturing trees, a pretty wildflower garden area and part edged with beech hedging. A further garden area is found to the east of the house with a central sycamore tree. A pathway leads round to the front of the house and again the boundary is defined by dry Cotswold stone walling fronted by a beech hedge.
