A UNIQUE ARCHITECTURALLY DESIGNED COASTAL PROPERTY BUILT TO A VERY HIGH SPECIFICATION AND ENJOYING VIEWS OF THE BAY AND HARBOUR

Completed in May of this year this luxurious, architecturally designed, new home is built with block elevations, faced by stone on one end under a pitched and reclaimed Deleabole slate roof. The property enjoys an elevated position with sweeping views over Coverack Bay and harbour with easy access to the beach. On entering the property, one finds an entrance hall with a useful seating area and cupboard (with a door made from a reclaimed church pew!). Off the hallway is a cloakroom and a further door leads into a magnificent reception room. This spectacular space splits into distinct areas such as a study with harbour views. A dining area with Bi-fold doors that open onto a large balcony with magnificent sea views. A bespoke /German kitchen by ‘Now Kitchens’ of Helston incorporating a range of units at both base and eye level. High end Siemens and Blaupunkt appliances. Including a cooker, a steam oven/microwave, dishwasher and wine fridge. The sink and tap above are both ‘Blanco’. The worksurfaces are Quartz and the backsplashes are mirrored glass with a bronzed tint effect. An island unit provides further storage and breakfast space for up to 4 people. The work surfaces are again quartz with an inset Bora 4 ring induction hob with downdraft extractor. The sitting area is dual aspect and also enjoys Bifold doors onto the terrace. There is a raised ‘Jotul’ wood burner with log store under. The whole floor enjoys Italian Atlas Concorde Tiling with underfloor heating. A stunning beech staircase down to the garden floor and into a rear vestibule with access to the plant/utility room and through bi-fold doors out to the garden.

All the bedrooms enjoy American oak doors and engineered oak floors. The principal suite has magnificent sea views and an astounding en-suite with raised porcelain floor with a freestanding ‘Lusso’ stone bath and wet room area with Hans Grohe overhead shower. Bespoke sink with Hans Grohe tap and vanity area below. Wall mounted towel rail. Italian tiled floor and walls with a feature porcelain wall, behind the shower. There is a large illuminated mirror. There are two further guest bedrooms on this floor both with en-suite shower rooms that are finished to an extremely high standard.

THE LOCATION

The Lizard is renowned for its beauty and spectacular landscapes, with much of the area designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The countryside and coastline are famed for their varied animal and plant-life, geology and history, while the climate on the Lizard is often milder than the rest of the country. Once the haunt of smugglers and wreckers, Coverack is a beautiful example of a traditional Cornish fishing village, where the houses hug the curve of the bay. A thriving village, it has a well-regarded primary school, shop, church, pub, restaurants and cafes. There are two beaches in the village, Mill Beach in the bay and Porthbeer Cove to the west, overlooked by Chynalls Point (an iron age fort), on the South West Coast Path which passes through the village. Coverack is recognised as a water sports destination, with excellent facilities for windsurfing, diving and paddle boarding, as well as pleasure fishing. Sailing and mooring facilities are available on the Helford River and there is a challenging links golf course at Mullion.

Locally, the village of St Keverne provides a post office, two pubs, butchers, local shop, church and a nationally recognised ice-cream parlour at Roskilly’s, where there is also a craft centre, restaurant, gallery and animal area. The market town of Helston has a wide range of shopping and schooling facilities, whilst the cathedral city of Truro, approximately 25 miles away, is the municipal centre of the county. Travel links to the area are good, with Coverack being served by wide roads and the A30 providing dual carriageway access through Cornwall from the M5 at Exeter. There are mainline railway stations at Redruth and Truro and Cornwall Airport (Newquay), is an hour away.

Property information from this agent

Places of interest

Jackson-Stops and Staff Cornish branch is based in the Cathedral City of Truro. This office covers the sale of pretty cottages, imposing town houses as well as a variety of homes with water frontage and fine water views on both the north and south coasts. We also specialise in country houses, farms and small holdings and well situated village properties through the county. Our expertise extends from Saltash and Bude in the east to Lands End in the west. As we cover the whole county we find a large percentage of our applicants are open minded as to whether they wish to be based in Fowey, St Mawes or Helford in the south. Whereas in the north of the county we serve many purchasers who are looking in Rock, Padstow, Constantine Bay or further west in St Ives.

    Broadband availability and predicted speed

Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:

    Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
    Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
    Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s

The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2

Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength

Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:

Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services

Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on April 2, 2023 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
