Blenheim House has been carefully renovated over the past few years by the last two owners and is now an attractive, homely property with a wealth of character. The property is grade II listed, with the original part of the house dating back to the late 16th century, with multiple early 20th century extensions.
On entering the property you reach a hall
way with the downstairs cloakroom to your left and the door to the cellar on your right. The cellar is a fantastic storage space and could have multiple uses. Next you reach the lounge, with a stunning inglenook fireplace with a Clearview log burner in place. An incredibly relaxing space, especially in the winter months with the fire roaring.
To the left is the study, which could equally be used as an additional bedroom or reception room. This room features original pine floor boards and a unique 20th century tiled fireplace. To the right of the lounge you reach an inner hallway with stairs to the right, dining room to the left and kitchen straight ahead. The kitchen includes an induction hob, double electric oven, dishwasher and washing machine. A fantastic pantry cupboard gives much additional storage. The dining room looks out on to the garden and features further storage.
Upstairs are three good sized bedrooms, and a large bathroom with a four piece suite. The master bedroom is a particularly lovely room, with lots of natural light. There are two handy storage cupboards on the landing too.
Outside, the property has a good sized private garden with side access. There are patio/decked areas which are great for outdoor entertaining and additional storage with a shed. There is parking for one car, accessed via a shared driveway, along with a single garage with a remote controlled roller door and electric vehicle charging point. There is plenty of on street parking available directly outside as well.
Wethersfield is a friendly village, known for its community spirit. There are many things to do in the village at the village hall and social club below, as well as the Pavillion sports centre. From exercise classes to theatre trips, there is plenty of activity taking place in Wethersfield, as well as clubs to join and a local church. The village has a small community shop and there are further shops in the nearby villages of Shalford and Finchingfield. Braintree and Dunmow can be reached in 15-20 minutes.

OnTheMarket may have applied supplementary data to this property listing, including:
Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on December 17, 2021
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on February 4, 2022
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on September 3, 2008 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
