Greenhead is situated in the North East of Scotland, inland from the former fishing village of Burghead, on the Moray Coast which is renowned for its mild climate. Burghead is about one mile to the north and has a number of shops, cafés, a hotel, a primary school and a post office.

The nearby town of Elgin (5 miles) is the regional centre for Moray, providing a comprehensive range of facilities including primary and secondary schooling, supermarkets, shopping centre, leisure centre, hospital, cinema, hotels and restaurants. Co-educational private schooling is available at Gordonstoun (4 miles).

The farm is situated close to the famous Speyside area of the Scottish malt whisky distilling industry, which is not only a popular drawn for tourists following the Malt Whisky Trail, but also a useful outlet for malting barley.

The recreational opportunities in the area are excellent. Moray is well known for its spectacular coastline and its high quality golf courses including the championship course at Nairn (39 miles). Nearer to Greenhead there is an 18 hole course at Elgin. There are excellent opportunities for field sports with pheasant and partridge shooting in the surrounding area while the Rivers Spey and Findhorn offer excellent salmon fishing.

Inverness Airport (35 miles) and Aberdeen International Airport (58 miles) offers a range of domestic, European and International flights.

Moray is well served by agricultural merchants and grain merchants and there is a successful local machinery ring which can provide additional farming resources as required.

From the south, travel north on the A96. At Llanbryde take the first exit on the roundabout staying on the A96. After approximately 300m turn left. At the junction turn left and almost immediately right and continue on the unclassified road. After 1.5 miles the entrance to Greenhead will be on your left hand side.

From the north, travel south on the A96. Approximately 0.5 miles after passing the first Llanbryde roundabout, turn right on the unclassified road. Then follow directions as above.
