Coggeshall House is Listed as being of Historical or Architectural importance Grade II. The older parts of the building are thought to be 14th Century and 16th Century with later additions being added towards the end of the 19th Century. The property is principally of timber framed construction presenting part red brick elevations in Flemish Bond with stone dressings to the openings, beneath a roof of red clay tiles.

The main Oak front door (with ‘Linenfold panels set in a chamfered stone surround with carved spandrels and Tudor head’) opens to the entrance hall which contains a Tudor brick fireplace with stone surround and main staircase that leads to the first floor galleried landing.
