Curl Wood is a lovely, light and spacious wood. Scots pine and birch are dominant but also spruce, larch, hornbeam, chestnut and some oak can be found. The floor is easily navigable on the most part with long grasses and bracken.
There are numerous wide clearings throughout the wood making a perfect setting for family camping and woodland activities.
There are two separate entrances from the road to access Curl Wood. The main entrance through the double wooden gates on the south-east corner, provides vehicle access via a hard stoned track to the main gate. The owner will be able to park inside the wood itself via an excellent hard gravelled track, easily accessed all year round by any road vehicle. The internal track is also wide enough should the owner wish to park a touring vehicle or caravan.
There is a second entrance through a single metal gate on the south-west corner. A track accessible only on foot provides a right of way along the north boundary. The south side of the wood is fenced along the entire length of the road.
Curl Wood is situated in an excellent area being only four miles from the popular town of Tunbridge Wells.
RSPB Broadwater Nature Reserve is situated opposite the main entrance to Curl Wood – and you are likely to hear and possibly see some of the following birds: Goldcrest, Siskin, Lesser Redpoll, Green Woodpecker and Marsh Tit. Summer migrants spotted in the reserve include: Blackcap, Whitethroat, Nightjar and Yellow Hammer, amongst others.
District is Wealden and the County Council is East Sussex.
Boundaries: Boundaries are securely fenced on all sides. Planning permission is in place for three years starting from 31.01.24 to renew the full original roadside wire fence with a grid wire at 1.6 metres tall.
Access: The owner of Curl Wood will have rights of way along the tracks on the map marked in blue.
Viewing: You are welcome to visit this wood by yourself, but please download and print a map showing the location of the woodland and ensure that you have a copy of these sales details with you. Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
