An absolutely stunning & unique Victorian house with an interesting story & past! Locally known as having once been the 'Butterfield Farmhouse' for Clark's Dairy (which reportedly had 28 cows in 1913!) it has all the charm & character you'd expect. The road was known as 'Butterfield Street' in the past which we assume was in reference to the dairy it was home to - the weathered remnants of the painted street sign still remain.

Internally & externally, the current owners have given the property an inviting, warm & rustic feel using tasteful decoration & retaining wooden sash windows. Entered via a distinctive wooden front door, the internal hallway leads to a spacious bay fronted lounge on the right & bright & well-proportioned kitchen diner on the left. There is also utility room off the kitchen. Both the lounge & utility room provide access to the courtyard garden - the boundaries of which are set out by a white painted rendered brick wall.

The first floor is accessed via an ornate staircase featuring black painted spindles & a matching handrail. This floor comprises of a landing featuring lots of natural light, three bedrooms & a generous four-piece bathroom.

We asked the sellers to tell us a little bit about their home:

It has felt incredibly special owning a piece of local history & calling it home. The house itself is great for entertaining with a large kitchen/dining area, separate living room & south facing courtyard. The area has a village feel to it with a good variety of shops, cafes & the Summerfield pub nearby yet it's only a quick train ride into Central London - Lee to London Bridge is 13 minutes.

We spent a lot of time at Northbrook Park, Manor House Gardens & Greenwich Park with our children. Blackheath Village & Greenwich town are easy to get to & great for food & drink options & of course Greenwich Market! We'll be sad to leave this wonderful area & hope the next owners enjoy being part of this lovely community & history as much as we have.

    Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
    Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
    Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s

The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2

Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength

Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:

Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services

Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on January 19, 2024 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
