Jasmine House is one of the oldest buildings located in the centre of the thriving town of Ashbourne. Ashbourne is also famed for the ancient tradition of Royal Shrovetide Football. Bearing little resemblance to actual football, this is a game played every Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday in February, involving hundreds of players where a ball can be kicked, carried or thrown through the streets.
