There is an excellent range of both private and state schools in the surrounding area including Farleigh School, Chafyn Grove, Godolphin and both girls and boys grammar schools in Salisbury.

The pretty Test Valley town of Stockbridge is nearby and has a good range of shops, a deli, fishmonger and butcher and a small supermarket. The cities of Salisbury and Winchester provide extensive shopping. There is an excellent network of roads in the area; the A303, A30, A34, M3 and M27. There are mainline railway stations at Andover, Winchester, and Grateley on the Waterloo line. Southampton Airport and Heathrow airports are just under and just over an hour away respectively.
