Property description & features

  • Council Tax Band: F
  • Deposit: 2,307 (GBP)
This beautiful 4 to 5 bedroom character cottage is set within stunning countryside surroundings but is still within a 15 minute walk to the riverside town of Evesham and a 5 minute walk to the Vale Country Park. This cottage is also in close proximity to Prince Henry's High School, St Egwins Middle School and a handful of primary schools and nurseries. The cottage is adjoining to the owners home next door.

Located down a private driveway, Oxstalls Cottage shares a drive with the two neighbouring properties but has its own entrance to the front. Upon entry is a large cloakroom with double doors leading to a well lit entrance hallway with stairs leading to the first floor and all rooms leading from here. To the right of the hallway is a room currently used as a study but one that could be a fifth bedroom due to it having access to a converted wet room. To the left of the hallway is a large kitchen with island, fitted wall and base units and some appliances. To the far end of the hallway, by the staircase, is a small utility room which leads a good size garage space at the back of the cottage. The door to the far left of the entrance hallway leads to a large living room/diner with views over the garden and surrounding fields. The living room boasts a log burner along with an original well (covered over with glass), a true feature of the cottage. Off the living room is another room that is currently being used as a gym and study. This room also boasts a log burner and plenty of storage to keep logs.

Patio doors lead from the living room to a fenced off garden with lawn and patio areas. There is also the option of using a clothes line just off the garden. There is the option to have a slightly larger garden and use of an allotment area but this can be discussed at a later date.

To the first floor is a small bathroom to your right, complete with bath and separate shower cubicle. One of the double bedrooms is next to the bathroom at the top of the stairs. Just down the corridor is another bedroom, most likely the second largest, overlooking the rear garden and surrounding fields. Almost opposite is another bathroom, this time with just a bath. To the end of the corridor is the third bedroom complete with its own en-suite with walk in shower. The master is located next door and is a great size, very light due to the large windows, and overlooking the stunning views of the surrounding countryside and River Avon. The master bedroom has built in wardrobes and its own en-suite with a large walk in shower.

The cottage is oil central heated and double glazed throughout. Many windows are in keeping with the age and character of the property, along with the beams. The cottage shares a septic tank with its two other neighbours and the water is metered and billed by the owners.

No pets or smokers.
