There are good transport networks in the vicinity. At Woolwich Church Street there is an excellent choice of bus routes a little farther along there is the Woolwich free ferry which connects routes north of the river.
Being adjacent to the Thames there is the Thames Path which is perfect for a stroll. At the Royal Arsenal there is a regular farmers market plus the newly opened Woolwich Works which bills itself as “London’s best new culture spot”.
