Seller’s view

Fabulous family home that grows with you, as your family grows.

We moved here 9 and a half years ago when our children were just 2 and 4. We loved our safe, quiet, peaceful garden, excellent schools, local amenities and the great park literally outside our front door. We’ve enjoyed lots of picnics there and I’ve sat on that bench watching them play for hours with other children from Badgers Rise!

The house is situated in a setback location off the main Badgers Rise development with five other houses (we are blessed to have very lovely neighbours), where the children learnt to ride their bikes, skateboard and scoot. We have woods to the rear of the house, so are not overlooked.

With our house on three floors, it is wonderfully versatile and we have each moved bedrooms as the children have grown. First the children shared the large bedroom on the top floor, with us in the master suite. We talked about adding a stud wall to make it a five-bed home which would have wonderful far-reaching views. We wanted to make sure that the kitchen was at the heart of the home and have a large dining table in the middle, like when I grew up. So just three years ago we completely redesigned the kitchen, and we really love it. We also re-carpeted the hall, stairs, landing and sitting room and had new flooring in the hall downstairs just two years ago.

With my husband commuting regularly to London, he would have his pick of train stations being equidistance to Reading and Twyford mainline stations, getting into London in just 20 mins. Just 10 mins from Reading via the A4, it’s perfect for a quick trip to The Oracle and just 12 mins to the Lexicon. We love living so near to Sonning, just over the border, enjoying Coppa Club and walks along the River Thames.

We are moving out of the area to be nearer family, and we know whoever lives here will love it as much as we have. We can only hope our next home is as lovely as 27 Badgers Rise.
