Purfleet railway station provides regular direct services to London Fenchurch Street as well as regional links to surrounding towns such as Barking, Grays and Southend-on-Sea. Numerous bus services serve the area and Purfleet Freight Terminal provides freight crossing to Belgium and the Netherlands.
Tank Lane runs east from Tank Hill Road to the west of the town centre with the site lying to the east of the Health Centre and Purfleet Primary Academy. There are access points from the north side of the site via St Clements Court and Water Lane and from the south via Tank Lane. The site lies adjacent to Purfleet Primary Academy in a mixed commercial and residential area.
