Property description & features

  • Tenure: Freehold

Situated in the peaceful village of Geshader on the Westcoast of Lewis and offering uninterrupted views of Loch Geshader to the side we welcome to the market this beautifully presented family sized home. The accommodation on offer extends to entrance hallway, lounge, dining room, dining kitchen, bathroom and three bedrooms upstairs. There is ample fitted storage throughout the property.

Heating is provided by electric panel heaters and the property is double glazed throughout.

The property is presented in excellent decorative order and offers a beautiful home for any purchaser.

There are gardens to the front, side and rear of the property with an area of decking outside the kitchen and a further patio area in the back garden. There are a number of flower beds around the property which bloom and offer an abundance of colour to the gardens in the spring and summer. There are two areas for off-road parking at each gable with steel gates for securing the areas. The surrounding area is excellent for viewing the deer coming down from the hills and into the surrounding croft land all year round, it is particularly lovely to watch the young stags chasing each other near the loch.

There is a generous area of ground with a stone outbuilding which has recently been reroofed. The building is wind and water tight and offers an excellent opportunity for further development. The building would make an excellent studio or with further works a self catering cottage. The surrounding ground is securely fenced.

The property is located on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis approximately 30 miles from Stornoway. Uig benefits from a number of amenities including a popular village shop with a range of utilities including petrol pumps and the local post office. The neighbouring villages provide a variety of amenities including a school, community centre and a few restaurants.

Prompt internal inspection is highly recommended to fully appreciate the accommodation on offer and to avoid disappointment.
