SELLERS COMMENTS
We have lived here for 11 years and love our flat and Crystal Palace. Surrounded by trees and greenery, the Close is quiet and peaceful, with plenty of space to sit outside and away from the hustle and bustle it feels private and secluded. Our flat is well-designed and the communal areas are well looked after. We’ve got great neighbours and there is a good sense of community with a Whats App neighbours group if you choose to join it.
The location is ideal between Crystal Palace and Norwood Junction stations, you have the best of both worlds being able to get to central London or Croydon easily but far enough away to feel like a place all of its own.
You’re also close enough to spend a day out enjoying the beautiful Surrey and Kent countryside and East Sussex coastline. Crystal Palace Triangle and its shops are less than a 10 minute walk away, there’s a great bookshop, cinema, loads of coffee places, pubs and places to eat, vintage and antiques stores, library, and Crystal Palace Park, with sports centre and iconic heritage dinosaurs, as well as superb views of the city. We are also lucky enough to hold an allotment which is 10 minutes walk in the other direction. There are so many green spaces here having once been part of the Great North Wood and immediately nearby there are a few hidden gems; Upper Norwood Recreation Ground, Westow Park, Grangewood Park, Stambourne Woodland Path and South Norwood Lakes which are lovely for a stroll or a run.
DIRECTIONS
Freethorpe Close is located off Highfield Hill which is a pretty tree lined road situated within the Harold Road conservation area. Located just moments from the Norwood Recreation park with its tennis courts, basketball courts and lovely grounds. Also just minutes’ walk from the trendy Crystal Palace triangle with its mix of boutiques, bars and restaurants.

OnTheMarket may have applied supplementary data to this property listing, including:
Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on August 2, 2022
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on August 2, 2022
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on May 27, 2023 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
