The majority of the fishing is a mixture of double on the Main River as well as a small section on The Barton at the southern end of the fishery which should suit all levels of ability with the aquatic fly life providing plenty of hatches, there is a good head of wild trout as well as stocked fish.
The beat was traditionally a salmon beat and while they still can be seen it is really fished for trout during the season and while not fished for grayling in the winter months, a purchaser could certainly make more of the grayling available.
