Primarily a bustling fishing village, Tarbert is also very popular with the yachting fraternity.   The Scottish Series Yacht Race is held in Tarbert every year as is the annual seafood festival in July which showcases Kintyre’s exquisite local produce and is exceptionally popular with locals and visitors alike.   The local ferry terminal is within walking distance and has regular trips to and from Portavadie.  Just a short drive away Kennecraigs ferry runs daily to the neighbouring Islands.

DIRECTIONS

South Cottage is located in a mixed residential area of Tarbert, behind the schools, and about 300 yards from the centre of the village.  To get to the property, head up School Road from the Tarbert Hotel, past the Free Church, the Police Station and the schools and then turn left into Hillfoot Terrace.  After 50 yards or so, turn sharp right on to a private service road.   South Cottage is then located down the track on your left.
