* Vendors comments * "I probably shouldn't admit this, but when I walked through the front door and saw the sliding barn door of the bathroom - I was like- Yup! I'll take it! We love our house, it's such a comfy space to be in. It's the perfect location for us, we have a dog that we walk in the park across the road twice a day, and it takes just over 10 mins to walk to the train station. I work in Stockwell and it takes me 25 mins door to door - it is so convenient. My husband worked in Victoria and has the "longer" commute of 30 mins. There are also buses straight to Stockwell and Brixton within a 5 min walk.
We added the shutters to the lounge and main bedroom - I only recently thought that I probably should have done it to the other room upstairs to look really professional - but we got it from the shutter studio in Streatham. We put in a new energy-efficient boiler last winter, with an added filter to extend its life. We added an electric door to the garage, which has been amazing - no need to wrestle an old door to get in and out, now it's seamless getting in and out.
We have added the backsplash in the kitchen to add a pop of colour, and put in the shelving units in the lounge/kitchen. The full length sliding doors are amazing in the summer - it's a party house! We have been here for 3 years, and have loved every second of it. We're sad to be leaving London, but we want to be closer to family up north.
There's a great shopping area with Home Sense, Next Home, and a massive Sainsbury's, Ikea and an M&S home just down the road. There's nothing you can't get to from the house. It's a really special house, a tardis that always fits the social occasion. It's a lovely neighbourhood, and our dog will miss her dog buddies that she has made in the park. We hope you will love living here as much as we did!"
