4 bedroom detached house
Key information
Property description & features
- Tenure: Freehold
'The Holden' is a desirable David Wilson build type. Its popularity stems from the specious accommodation and versatile space which lends itself well to growing families. This particular property is located on the sought after Forest House Lane within the popular Forest Chase development close to schooling, parks and local amenities.
Accommodation comprises in brief of; entrance hallway with guest WC, a versatile study / play room, lounge and a sociable kitchen diner with utility off. The striking box bay opens up into the property's low maintenance rear garden. To the first floor lies the principal bedroom with en suite shower room. There are three further bedrooms and a family four piece bathroom.
To the front the property enjoys off road parking and a single garage.
Leicester Forest East schooling:
Continuing on the family bandwagon, Leicester Forest East is home to two primary schools…three if you count the brand spanking new, New Lubbesthorpe Primary School. Stafford Leys and Fossebrook are both Ofsted rated good with the majority of pupils feeding to either the acclaimed Bosworth Academy, South Charnwood or The Winstanley School.
Local amenities:
Local amenities are in abundance here. Whereas the area might not have a ‘centre’ so to speak, each pocket of the place has its own, often walkable, amenities.
Cafes, Restaurants and Pubs.
Unwinding in Leicester Forest East has never been easier. Anyone familiar with the area or maybe even Leicester in general will know of The Red Cow. Having started its life in the 1650’s, The Red Cow has continually moved with the times, from Inn to traditional boozer, and now a family friendly pub restaurant and garden - you can be assured it will keep the whole family happy.
Another favourite which has been tickling the taste buds of the residents and beyond for many years is the Forest Park. Pub grub done well with a great kid’s menu makes this a great choice for a family get together.
Although technically Leicester Forest West, I simply cannot neglect to mention The Half Way House (The Bulls Head). The Bulls Head bridges traditional watering hole and delectable restaurant. Mouth watering speciality menus can also be found throughout the year so keep an eye on their website.
If it’s a daytime treat you are looking for then pop over to either one of the areas two thriving cafes. Poppys and The Grange Bakery & Deli both cater very well for a rumbling tummy. I won’t tell you where they are, just look out for the queues.
Sports and Leisure.
Keeping active and getting fit is a relatively simple task in Leicester Forest East. Home to two rugby clubs, a renowned tennis club with growing senior and junior membership and a cricket club.
The Community.
Leicester Forest East has an extremely strong sense of community, with the Parish Hall being the epicentre, hosting events throughout the year. There are also numerous social channels to keep the locals abreast of news and all things local within ‘LFE’.

OnTheMarket may have applied supplementary data to this property listing, including:
Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on May 25, 2022
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on May 25, 2022
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on March 9, 2018 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
