A stunning 2 bedroom first floor apartment situated within an 18th Century Grade II* Listed castle above Stackhouse Cove, commanding outstanding sea views over Mounts Bay. This remarkable apartment enjoys its own private entrance via steps to the rear, with the accommodation comprising: a substantial 37' open-plan living/kitchen/dining room with 3 windows providing views towards St Michaels Mount, 2 beautifully appointed bedrooms and a luxurious bathroom. The castle and its grounds provide panoramic uninterrupted views over the bay, the delightful communal gardens provide direct access to the South West Coast Path, with Stackhouse Cove below and 'Prussia Cove' approximately 1 mile distant - in all, a superb main home, holiday let or coastal retreat - viewing essential.

The Property - 'Acton Castle' was built for the botanist John Stackhouse in 1775 who was an occasional visitor. When not in residence, he left the castle in the care of his tenant farmer - a local called John Carter. Unbeknownst to Stackhouse, John Carter was a notorious smuggler, going by the name 'The King Of Prussia' (and for whom nearby Prussia Cove is named). Carter took advantage of the empty property as a hideout when needed. The castle was extended in the 1900s and eventually converted into luxury apartments in the 1980s.
