A stylish period cottage with views.

Description

Formerly two cottages, 2 Manor Farm Cottages is a stylish property situated in a charming part of Fulbrook enjoying rural views from all aspects. Upper End is a no-through village lane so traffic flow is low. Furthermore the property is situated at the end of a long drive behind mature beech hedges. The current owner is an artist/designer and has overseen a complete programme of sympathetic renovation and extension including the installation of bespoke doors, window shutters and cabinetry, underfloor heating to all tiled floors, engineered oak floors and a custom-made kitchen.

The property offers beautifully presented accommodation set out over three floors. The front door opens to a good sized entrance hall which leads to a wonderful bespoke kitchen/dining room fitted with an excellent range of cabinets and a Caesar stone island unit. Three south facing windows allow lots of light into the room. A door leads to the well-proportioned sitting room, the focal point of which is a splendid fireplace with bressummer beam over and housing a wood burning stove. Again, this is a lovely sunny room. Adjoining the sitting room and behind a faux wall door is a home office/bedroom which is currently used as a studio/design room. The current owner designed this part of the property so that, if required, an en suite shower could be created. A very well-appointed utility completes the ground floor accommodation.

From the hall a staircase winds up to the first floor. Of particular note is the bespoke handrail which was carved from a single piece of oak. The landing is generous and the current owner has utilized the space to create a study area. On the first floor is bedroom one, which is dual aspect and has fitted wardrobes, and the family shower room. Bedroom two has an en suite cloakroom and fitted wardrobes. Stairs next to bedroom two lead to the second floor where there is a luxurious bathroom complete with free standing bath. Views over adjoining countryside can be enjoyed from all aspects.

The property is approached over a long shared drive. To the front of the property and enclosed by stone walls is an area of private parking and lawn with well-stocked borders. The principal south-facing garden lies to the rear of the property. There is a substantial entertaining area outside the kitchen beyond which is a long mature garden extending in all to 0.3 acres. A little way down the garden is a summer house and a second seating area which is the perfect place to enjoy the garden and views. On a practical point there is a useful workshop and garden store.
