Herne Bay includes independent shops, bars, cafes and restaurants as well as the beach, a bustling seafront and historic pier while the high speed train can get you to London in under an hour and a half. There is sailing, jet skiing and golf available and good schools in the vicinity, including Herne C of E Junior rated Outstanding by Ofsted, as well as Herne Bay High and excellent grammar and private schools in Canterbury, Thanet, Faversham and Sandwich.
