There are renovated houses and then there is this home. Almost doubled in size by the current owners and refurbished to exacting standards you will be hard-pushed to find better in my opinion.

At the centre of the design is the open-plan kitchen family room. The kitchen has a wide range of storage solutions and is packed full of appliances including a larder fridge, a larger freezer, a wine chiller, a dishwasher and an induction hob. All you need to do is bring your pots and pans and start cooking up a storm.

The kitchen also includes the all-important island unit with breakfast bar seating, ideal for catching up with friends or informal dining. The island also has stylish hanging pendants above which further adds to the design. The rest of the room has more than enough space for both relaxing and dining and is sure to become the hub of family life. There is a real sense of in-out living in this space as it’s flooded with natural light from the multiple widows and the bi-fold doors bring the outside in.

The hallway is larger than you might imagine and the modern staircase with glazed panels and oak handrail really set the scene. Even though this is a good size space it doesn’t compromise any of the other ground floor rooms.

If views are high up your list of priorities, then you would have to go some to beat the green open view from the lounge. Even the largest families would be more satisfied with the lounge as it is 18ft by 17ft. The focal point of the room is the decorative wooden mantle with a fireplace opening below and a stone hearth. This would be the ideal spot for you to install a wood-burning stove, perfect for those chilly winter nights.

Two other essentials for families on the ground floor are the WC and the utility room. The utility also has access to the boiler cupboard which also offers good storage space for all those awkward items like cleaning equipment and the ironing board.

On the first floor, things get even more interesting. The main bedroom is a proper main bedroom in my eyes as it has both a dressing room and en suite shower room. I have seen quite a few new or renovated homes recently and I can’t remember another with such a uniquely styled bathroom, personally, I love all the brushed brass accents. The double sinks with storage below and LED mirrors add a further touch of class. The main bedroom also benefits from those wonderful views I mentioned in the lounge.

The three further double bedrooms offer a good choice for the rest of the family however bed two will be in most demand as that also has a stylish en suite which is similar to the main en suite but this time with black accents.

Bedrooms 2 and 3 share the main bathroom which, similar to the others, has a beautiful choice of tiling and a bath with a shower catering for all tastes.

Unlike some other renovation projects, the garden has also benefited from a makeover. Enclosed with new fencing, with a newly laid lawn area and exceptional porcelain patio area there really is something for everyone.

At the bottom of the garden, we find the newly built exterior room which could easily be used as a garage or would lend itself to being repurposed as a home office or gym with some very minor auditions.
