Description
Bees Cottage is an appealing cottage style house which cleverly combines the traditional local Purbeck stone exterior with a stylish and contemporary interior.
Originally built in the 1950’s, the house has been imaginatively re-modelled and refurbished, and is presented in excellent order. The bright accommodation enjoys delightful views down the valley to the sea, and includes a double height reception hall, sitting room with fireplace and French doors to the garden, and a generous open plan kitchen/ dining/ family room with a range of painted wood units, an oven, combination microwave, ceramic hob, dishwasher, breakfast bar and patio doors to the garden. Leading off is a useful utility area and cloakroom with basin and WC. Also on the ground floor is the main bedroom with built in wardrobes, and a modern en suite bathroom. A staircase from the hall leads up to the bright galleried landing with feature gable window enjoying lovely views towards the sea, currently arranged as an excellent study. There are three good bedrooms on this floor, one having fitted wardrobes and views towards the sea, and the attractively styled family bathroom.
The house is on the private Winspit estate of individual character properties, approached via a private unmade lane. A driveway with parking for two cars leads to the integral Garage. The pretty and secluded garden lies mainly on the sunny south side of the house and is laid to lawn with surrounding well stocked flower and shrub borders. Crazy paved stone paths lead to a circular terrace adjacent to the living room, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and the gardens extend around both sides of the house.
