EweMove - A surprisingly spacious link-detached house, located on the popular Holt Park development on the edge of Hook and adjoining Bassetts Mead Country Park. The house has four generous bedrooms, two reception rooms and two bathrooms. Car Port, Driveway and Large Garage. No Onward Chain.

This is a deceptively spacious house with almost 1,400 square feet of accommodation over two floors. The house was but in 2007 by George Wimpey Homes and has only had one owner so far. It has fibre broadband direct to the house, double-glazed windows and gas central heating via radiators.

The front door opens into a smart hallway, with stairs rising to the first floor an under-stairs storage cupboard and doors to all rooms. There is a convenient cloakroom with a white suite. The house has two reception rooms, the first is the rear aspect living room, with double doors that open out into the garden. The second reception room can be used as either a dining room, family room or a study/office, it is a front aspect room with a feature bay window. The fitted kitchen/breakfast room is a rear aspect room with a range of matching base and eye-level storage cupboards and drawers with contrasting granite work surfaces, tiled splashbacks, a single drainer one-and-a-half bowl sink unit with mixer taps, integrated appliances, a cupboard housing boiler for heating and hot water, tiled floor and a rear door opening into the garden.

On the first floor, there is a large landing with two storage cupboards, access to the loft space and doors to all rooms. The main bedroom is a rear aspect room with a range of fitted wardrobes and a door opening into a fully tiled, en-suite shower room, fitted with a white suite. The second bedroom is a front aspect room with wall-to-wall fitted wardrobes. The third bedroom is a rear aspect room with fitted wardrobes and the fourth bedroom is a front aspect room, which is large enough for a double bed. However, it could also make an excellent study/office for anyone needing to work from home. The accommodation on this floor is completed by the bathroom, again fitted with a white suite.

Externally, there is parking via a remotely operated electric roller door which leads to concealed car-port and an additional driveway, this in turn leads to a large detached garage with an up-and-over door, power, light and a door into the rear garden.

Hook is situated in the district of Hart, in north-east Hampshire about six miles from Basingstoke. It is a large village offering excellent commuter links with London Waterloo accessible in about an hour via the mainline rail station and access to Junction 5 of the M3 motorway. Hook has expanded over the past 50 years to become a large village; the centre has shopping facilities including a Tesco supermarket, a mini-Waitrose, doctors' surgery, dentists, Post Office, take-aways, public houses and a church. A new Sainsbury's store opened in May 2023. There is both an infant and junior school located in the centre of the village, both are rated “outstanding” by Ofsted. Hook is also within the catchment area for Robert Mays Senior School in Odiham. Finally, there are two recently refurbished community centres hosting a wide range of activities for all age groups. Nearby villages such as Newnham, Odiham, Rotherwick and Hartley Wintney and towns like Farnham and Basingstoke, plus the nearby Wellington Country Park make for a great combination of urban and countryside living. There are several local parks that include, Bassett's Mead Country Park, Hartletts Park, Wellworth Park and the King George V Playing Fields.

Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on May 30, 2022

Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:

    Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
    Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
    Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s

The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2

Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on May 30, 2022

Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:

Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services

Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on April 26, 2016 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.

Any supplementary data should not be relied upon as forming part of any property particulars and OnTheMarket cannot be held responsible for any incorrectness in this data. See here for more information.
