Middle Manor is approached via a wide, shared gravel drive leading to the property's double garage and two communal guest parking spaces. Immediately in front of the house is a low-walled courtyard with a paved path lined with clipped bay trees that leads to Middle Manor's front door. To one side the house and accessed via the kitchen is a gravelled courtyard, which houses the log store and provides an outside, sheltered dining area with views out over the garden and beyond. The garden extends out behind the house and is designed to be easily maintained. Close to the house it consists of a level lawn flanked on one side by a tall laurel hedge fringed by a line of quince trees. On the other side are two raised shrub borders with a flight of timber steps between that leads up to an area of terrace under a pergola. The deck is built into the corner between two tall stone walls and therefore is sheltered and the added height provides a wonderful vantage point to admire the view. The lawn is fan-shaped so that the view from the house remains unobstructed and as wide as possible. After about 25 yards the lawn drops away down to a sloping apple and damson orchard measuring about an acre and enclosed by post and rail fencing and field hedging. In all the garden and grounds extend to about 1.25 acres (0.5 hectare). The property also has use of a communal, hard tennis court in the grounds.

Middle Manor is part of the Henley Manor Estate set on a hillside about half a mile south of the historic and attractive stone-built market town of Crewkerne in the South Somerset Hills. The town has an excellent range of amenities, shops and local businesses capable of meeting most day to day needs. These include a Waitrose supermarket, a weekly country market, a monthly farmer's market and a choice of medical, dental and veterinary surgeries (see ). The regional centres of Yeovil and Taunton are both within reasonable driving distance for wider requirements. Crewkerne also has a mainline railway station with regular and direct services to Waterloo and Exeter St. David's, taking about 2.5 hours and just over an hour respectively. Trains also run from Taunton to Paddington in about 1 hour 40 minutes. The regional airports at Exeter and Bristol are both within a reasonable distance with services to various UK and many international destinations. The surrounding area also offers a wide choice of schools from both the state and independent sectors including Perrott Hill, Leweston, the Sherborne schools, Hazelgrove, Millfield and King's, Queen's Colleges in Taunton.

Broadband availability and predicted speed
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
