The Property
2 Piper Close Cottages is a wonderful stone and brick-built cottage, believed to have been built in the early 1900’s, brimming with character and offering parking and gardens, and on the outskirts of Corbridge, within easy walking distance of all of the amenities the village has to offer. The property has been rewired, fitted with a new gas-fired Baxi boiler and new electric Mira showering August 2023 bringing peace of mind and added value.
The front door opens into a small hall with the stairs to the first floor straight ahead and a glazed door into the well-proportioned sitting room with wood paneling and an impressive stone and brick fireplace with wood burning stove. There is also a built-in storage cupboard. Two doors lead off the sitting room; one to the bathroom fitted with bath and shower above, wash hand basin and WC, and a large rear porch that the current owners use as an excellent utility room with a washing machine and separate tumble dryer. The second door opens into the kitchen, which has a good range of wooden wall and floor units and appliances including an integrated electric hob, a dishwasher and fridge. A freezer is tucked away in a cupboard within the sitting room and all of the white goods are included with the property. The kitchen is open to a fantastic glazed garden room that would make a lovely place to sit and eat or relax. French doors open into the rear garden.
To the first floor are two bedrooms, the principal bedroom having an en-suite WC and basin.
Externally
2 Piper Close Cottage benefits from a gated gravel driveway and parking, and a lovely lawn to the front of the house. With independent side access, the rear garden is a well-maintained paved and gravel courtyard with wooden storage shed.

OnTheMarket may have applied supplementary data to this property listing, including:
Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on September 13, 2023
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on September 13, 2023
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on December 19, 2014 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
