Property Description
If it’s a period property with a modern twist look no further.
24 Arthur Street is a Victorian terraced house of larger than average proportions with a large enclosed rear garden, large 5m x 2.5m storage shed/workshop and gated rear access with concrete pad.
A four bedroomed property with an extra two room loft space, it doesn’t get any bigger than that.
Being Victorian there are still many original features from the vestibule entrance, high ceilings, rounded corners, arched alcoves, crown moulding and ceiling roses to name just a few.
The door and stone steps are typical of the grandeur inside. The initial Vestibule glazed inner doorway and stained glass are in perfect condition and lead to the staircase with its scroll detail and hardwood Bannister. Under the stairs is a modern shower room with spotlights and mirrors.
Entering the living area, the original floorboards have been sanded and waxed and the cast iron fireplace is still in situ being the focal point set between to arched alcove bookcases.
The high ceilings are complemented by the crown mouldings and an enormous ceiling rose. Moving through the opening between the front and the rear part of the room another stone clad open fireplace holds centre place. French doors lead to the yard which runs along the side of the property Here there is storage for bikes, kayaks or just storage for logs etc.
From this room an opening lead down one step into the very large kitchen diner. The space is set in two parts, although open plan. A modern gloss kitchen in petrol and anthracite dominates the first half, White metro tiles form a splashback with large slate type floor tiles. A breakfast bar divides the space with two industrial pendant lights above. Another similar but larger light hangs above the snug at the far end with a slanting roof lit by a Velux and where a modern wood burner is set against a stone-faced wall. French doors lead to a stoned patio area which continues the length of the garden which is laid to lawn. At the far end of the garden there are gates that open onto a lane and a concrete pad inside where there is a large timber workshop.
On the first floor there are 4 bedrooms and a family bathroom. The 4th bedroom to the rear is a double room and is adjacent to the bathroom and currently used as a cinema room.
The family bathroom has a bath, pedestal sink and W.C. with a window overlooking the side of the property.
A demi landing and a further 6 stairs lead to the front of the house. Bedroom 3 is the smallest of the rooms but still fits a double bed.
Bedroom one (master) lies adjacent to this and overlooks the front of the property and into a bay window. This is a good-sized room with some inbuilt storage.
Bedroom 2, located at the back of the property overlooking the yard is also of a good size and easily fits a double bed and bank of wardrobes.
On the landing a staircase leads to the loft rooms. Both rooms are very light and have Velux windows and exposed beams, the larger of the rooms has storage under the eaves as demi -wardrobes and a feature stone and whitewash wall. There is also a large amount of additional storage behind a barn style door.

Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:

    Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
    Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
    Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s

The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2

Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on January 14, 2022

Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:

Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services

Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on April 8, 2008 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.

Any supplementary data should not be relied upon as forming part of any property particulars and OnTheMarket cannot be held responsible for any incorrectness in this data. See here for more information.
