"It was love at first sight that moment 22 years ago when I first viewed Langford Villa; the original features were largely intact and the high ceilings and generous room proportions were immediately appealing. The garden was then fairly neglected and, I have to admit, it was tempting to focus on this area ahead of some of the house projects. However common sense prevailed and a number of sympathetic improvements were undertaken including the 2nd floor loft conversion, the ground floor shower room addition, a complete electrical rewiring of the house and replacement of some of the non-period fireplaces with more authentic ones. Jubilee Road is situated in a quiet pocket of St George, just off The Avenue, on the hill above Crews Hole and very close to the iconic Troopers Hill, a landmark for East Bristol. The area is popular for having scenic walks nearby along the river, through woodland and parks.
